There are two kinds of the monolithic structures for the LN2 atmospheric tanks:
1) Single-capacity tanks (volume≤6000m), adopting vertical flat base, cylinder, double walls and both inner and outer vault construction
2) Single-capacity (volume >6000m) and full-capacity tanks, adopting vertical flat base, cylinder, double walls, inner suspended ceiling and outer vault constructions
Full-capacity tanks are also equipped with hot corner maskant
Interlayer of the LN2 atmospheric pressure storage tanks is filled with perlite and the bottom interlayer is filled with foam glass bricks for cold insulation. In order to keep the low evaporation rate, the interlayer is usually filled with dry nitrogen gas to keep the perlite in dry condition in long time
Composition of the LN2 atmospheric tanks: inner tank, outer tank, bottom heat-insulation layer, interlayer heat-insulation layer, equipment ladder and platform, valves and instruments and the base
Tank base adopts overhead form and the whole equipment is installed on a reinforced concrete base Base platform is supported with upright concrete posts for air ventilation and moist insulation
Inner tank is mainly composed with tank top, cylinder and base plate
Every part is made of austenitic stainless steel S30408 to store the LN2
Outer tank is composed of the top cover, cylinder and the base plate
Every part is made of Q345R stainless steel plates
Both inner and outer top covers adopt latitudinal and attitudinal ribbed vault structure
Cylinders adopt the reinforced structure with built-in angle rings while the base plates adopt combined pressure-bearing structure with bow-shaped edge plates and webs
Accessory structures: winding staircase, operation platform, firefighting devices
Tank surface is painted with imported Jotun paints, which could withstand 2-year without color fading and peeling off
Operational life span of the tanks is no less than 20 years
